This is an adaptation of a graphic novel by Alan Moore and David Lloyd, directed by James McTeigu and produced by Joel Silver and the Wachowski Brothers.
Natalie Portman in the cast in the role of Evey Hammond and Hugo Weaving as V. We can find other actors like Stephen Rea and John Hurt.

Natalie Portman is Ballet Beautiful woman

http://nataliaportman.blogspot.com/

Natalie Portman is Ballet Beautiful

Natalie Portman looks stunningly beautiful at the opening night celebration of the New York City Ballet at Lincoln Center on Tuesday (November 24).

The 28-year-old actress wore a Vena Cava dress, Charles by Charles David shoes, and a Carole Tanenbaum vintage collection bag.

Nat, who co-stars in the new film, Brothers , with Tobey Maguire and Jake Gyllenhaal, commented, “It was actually really exciting ’cause this is the first time I’ve ever worked with actors that I knew before. I met Tobey when I was 14, I met Jake when I was 18, so there was a level of familiarity from the first day, which was really a nice way to enter into it. We also had a nice rehearsal period for a few weeks before we started, where we got to go over each other’s houses and talk about it and try things out!”

First pictures of Natalie Portman in the film Black Swan

Film and TV Post a comment

Natalie Portman at Swan NegroLa film actress Natalie Portman is presented with his upcoming film, which bills itself as disturbing thriller "Black Swan" (Black Swan).

Which appear in sex scenes starring the sexy Mila Kunis (that look more exploited for pre-promotion of the tape).

Black Swan is directed by Daren Aronofsky and producer with a screenplay by Mark Heyman himself with Aronofsky. The main cast of the film are, in addition to Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis, actress Winona Ryder and Vincent Cassel, among others.

Black Swan's argument tells of a successful dancer in New York. Which is considered the best in their field. Everything changes when suddenly feels there is a girl who rises quickly through the ranks and makes shadow.

As we say one of the most widely used to promote the film were the sex scenes and Mila Kunis Natalie Portman will star in the film.

Black Swan will debut in theaters around the world since the end of next year 2010. Although by now not have a date set for its release.

The Portman will play a ballet dancer who has a rivalry with a classmate, an increasingly tense confrontation as it approaches the day of a great show. The problem is we do not know if that companion is a supernatural occurrence or was the result of the troubled mind of the protagonist. In addition to Portman, Mila Kunis star in this film, Vincent Cassel, Winona Ryder (another of my idolized) and Barbara Hershey. Hopefully this new film by Aronofsky meets the expectations ...

Natalie Portman wants to be mother

http://nataliaportman.blogspot.com/

Imprimir E-Mail

Image l

Imageo his 28 years, the actress was invaded by the maternal instinct and say they feel mature and responsible enough to start a family.
The role he plays in his latest film, 'Brothers', is a strong, motherly woman, which seems to have fueled the desire to be mother of the actress, the site reported Sunday ABC.es.

Natalie Portman often get roles in which women are depicted as the typical "girl cute and feminine," in his words. But in his latest film, 'Brothers', which appears alongside Jake Gyllenhaal and Tobey Maguire, its path skips a beat. This time she plays a strong, motherly woman who becomes involved in a war drama.

It is this character that provoked a major change in the life of Natalie, who claims that her maternal instinct was strengthened after playing this woman. "Being able to get into the skin of a real woman who is really strong and a good mother was a great opportunity," said the actress.

Natalie Portman and the rule of three apples, perfect to avoid stress in film

http://nataliaportman.blogspot.com/

Tobey Maguire stars in "Brothers" with Natalie Portman and Jake Gyllenhaal but Maguire Portman knows the past the cake, since she was 14.

And now that go promoting the movie, just an anecdote that I liked it, mostly because I like Natalie Portman or fu ni fa, I find it intensité or perhaps too perfect, I know. But this listen, won me over.

Although ... think of a girl of 14 also releasing something that shows me what to intensité where is genetic and unavoidable.

It is the rule of three blocks. And this is how Maguire has told:

I remember the day I met taught me something important, the "rule of three apples." We were in a film and I do not think I liked too much and was about to say something ...

And she said, "Wait a second. Do not know the rule of three apples?"

"What is the rule of three apples?"

"You should not talk about the movie until you have three blocks away from the cinema"

Is not that right? This is something I'd recommend to anyone who ends up as a movie is not out yet when the word "end", such that it will not leave, they turn in the chair with the "What's that?", Necessitating a speedy trial before he could breathe.

With how good it feels to digest a film for at least a few minutes, for more often, and it can then talk about it. At least in my case ...

The story I read on the blog of Nathaniel Rogers. But then I found the exact time on MTV, so much better, here Maguire telling it:

Do you belong to those who need time before we talk about a movie or not?

he winter style of Natalie Portman

http://nataliaportman.blogspot.com/

Natalie Portman

If Laia told us yesterday that the white coats are fashionable, to say the roses. No color is very wearable, but in my years I quite like its mixed with gray. It is a proposal that also mixes well with black jeans, white to brown, in several of its hues.

However, Kate Moss and Sienna Miller are on a trend and alternative style. Something that is the signature style of these two "English". To show a style complete with a beautiful winter coat pink, the best example is Natalie Portman, who with his gentleness, simplicity and loose leaves us very high on the pink ribbon.

The young actress joined this coat of tweet in full color pink Juicy Couture jeans, gray boots, gray wedge sole in a darker tone and a white light padding. This is the look with which we will see in one scene of his next work Black Swan shot in New York who will co-star Winona Rider.

One cold morning in winter is worth a look perfect in a film about ballet could not miss the pink.

ver since Natalie Portman signed on to play Dr. Don Blake's love interes

Ever since Natalie Portman signed on to play Dr. Don Blake's love interest Jane Foster in Kenneth Branagh's upcoming Thor, the actress hasn't done a ton of interviews, so we haven't had much of a chance to learn about her take on the character.

At the press conference for Jim Sheridan's Brothers, a terrific drama in which Portman is quite astounding as a young mother whose husband is a soldier who has gone missing and presumed dead in Afghanistan, we tried our best to broach the subject, trying to find out why she decided to do it, having already starred in one comic book movie (V For Vendetta) as well as starring in one of the biggest sci-fi franchises of all time (Do we even have to name it?). We also were hoping to find out what sort of research or comics she might have read for the role, and whether it might be a big part, considering that much of the movie will probably take place in Asgard.

Unfortunately, the press conference environment is not the best place to get into this sort of thing--and we felt quite guilty even asking about it--but she did tell us at least why she did want to be in the movie:

"I just thought it sounded like a weird idea because Kenneth Branagh's directing it, so I was just like, 'Kenneth Branagh doing 'Thor' is super-weird. I've gotta do it'," she told us, before a journalist interrupted her answering our question because he didn't even know who Jane Foster was (The heathen!). Sadly, she never got to the rest of our question, but hopefully, we'll get another chance to talk to her before the movie comes out.

You can learn more about Brothers when we run some of the best bits of the press conference as well as our exclusive interview with Jim Sheridan over on ComingSoon.net.

Natalie Portman recently explained that she was compelled to join Thor

http://nataliaportman.blogspot.com/
Natalie Portman Spills Thor Casting News

Natalie PortmanNatalie Portman recently explained that she was compelled to join Thor because the Kenneth Branagh-directed movie seemed "super weird." Now she's dropping Thor casting news to MTV.

Well I'm really excited. Kat Dennings [(Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist, the upcoming Defendor)] is going to be in it with me and she's a good friend and an amazing actress, so I'm looking forward to that.

What role Dennings will play is unknown. A casting notice found in October mentions the role of college student Marcy Lewis, who interns with a scientist and "deals with her situation both by using subtle irony and by being an overt wiseass." Considering Portman's casting as nurse Jane Foster, coupled with Portman's enthusiasm over Dennings' casting, the role of Marcy could be a potential lock.

Thor starts production in mid-January and has filled out an impressive cast of newcomers and Academy-Award winners, including Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Hopkins, Tom Hiddleston, Jaimie Alexander, Ray Stevenson, Stuart Townsend, Tadanobu Asano, and recent addition Idris Elba.

"Any time I get a phone call, it doesn't come up as a normal number; it's like a five-digit code. I'm like, 'What kind of spy organization is this?' I've never seen that before. I've had phone calls from people in the government, and they don't have that. Marvel is some crazy underground world."—Natalie Portman on being contacted by Marvel for her role in Thor [WENN via Contact Music]

"Not too long ago, my mum ran into one nun at home, who'd known me, and the nun told her, 'Oh my God, I watched the "She-Wolf" video, and Shakira looks phenomenal in it! I love how she looks, how she does the splits, and how flexible her legs are.' This was an 80-year-old nun. Times are changing."—Shakira [Guardian UK]

"I don't know if you know, but I'm not exactly Bob Dylan — I'm already a pop musician. I'm not on [rock-snob archive label] Razor & Tie. I want to reach as many people as possible. Listen, I can play you Wes Montgomery's Smokin' at the Half Note. I can play you Van Halen's 'Panama.' I love Big Bill Broonzy, and I love Charlie Patton, but I'm not interested in carrying on these people's legacy. I'm interested in being informed by all of this music, while still meeting the requirements of what a pop song is. I don't mind compromising."—John Mayer [Details]

"I made this when I was 13. At the time, I was really into Kraftwerk. They had that song ‘The Robots,' and to me, it sounded like they were saying ‘Zee Robots.' I never really pursued visual art. Hollywood stunner Natalie Portman's brush with India continues

Hollywood stunner Natalie Portman's brush with India continues. She has now contributed a story for a new publication - To India With Love: From New York to Mumbai . The coffee-table travel scrapbook has been made by India's fashionable travellers to support the 26/ 11 Mumbai attack victims.

The V for Vendetta girl has penned an out-of-the-box story about a beauty parlour and carnivorous dogs. Natalie's narrative has already been dubbed as "strange" by the western media.

Looking stunning in a black dress, Natalie attended the book launch with one of the authors, Waris Ahluwalia, in New York.

To India With Love: From New York to Mumbai is the brainchild of three New Yorkers - Waris Ahluwalia, Tina Bhojwani and Mortimer Singer.

"The result is a scrapbook of sorts, with each page highlighting the jeweller-slash-actor's friends' experiences in prose, photography, drawings or a combination thereof," states NYTimes.com. The volume becomes a collection of personal stories and photographs from several contributors.

It also features several celebrities such as Elizabeth Hurley, Owen Wilson and filmmaker James Ivory.

Hurley has been visiting India for a long time, especially after her wedding to industrialist Arun Nayar. Last year, she took part in a global breast cancer awareness campaign in Mumbai.

"I've been coming to India since 1988. Now, I come to Mumbai about five times a year and love it," Liz had said.

Coming back to the book, Wes Anderson's picture of teeth and dental instruments for sale along with his film-making journey to India is a highlight of the book.

Ivory recounts the turning point of his life: his first meeting with Ismail Merchant, besides a photograph of Merchant's first Indian passport.

Natalie starred in Anderson's 2007 film, The Darjeeling Limited , shot majorly in India. She has been constantly making news about her Indian stints. It started with an appearance in her then-boyfriend Devendra Banhart's controversial music video, Carmensita . Natalie played a Hindu princess Carmensita Saplingita in Banhart's music video, which also scoffed at the Goddess Kali.

Hindu groups had opposed the video, saying they were "deeply hurt" by it.

They also demanded an apology from the pretty actress.

Recently, Natalie attracted attention for her Indian makeover with earrings, maang tikka (head pendant), and a jhumar (worn on the left side of the head) along with a matching necklace and red bangles for Kosher Vegetarian, a part of recently released episodic flick, New York, I Love You .

Natalie Portman: The Darjeeling Limited que Hotel Chevalier, el corto de Wes Anderson,

hotel-chevalier

Natalie Portman - Winona Ryder

natalie-portman

Natalie Portman is a vegetarian – a vegan, to be precise – and she thinks you should be one too

http://nataliaportman.blogspot.com/

Natalie Portman is a vegetarian – a vegan, to be precise – and she thinks you should be one too. At least, that’s the impression I get from her article at the Huffington Post. In fact, she really goes so far as to infer that those of us who eat animals or animal products are inhumane beasts.

natalie-portman

Apparently, reading Jonathan Safran Foer’s book Eating Animals transformed her from a vegetarian to being a full-fledged vegan activist:

I’ve always been shy about being critical of others’ choices because I hate when people do that to me. I’m often interrogated about being vegetarian (e.g., “What if you find out that carrots feel pain, too? Then what’ll you eat?”).

I’ve also been afraid to feel as if I know better than someone else — a historically dangerous stance (I’m often reminded that “Hitler was a vegetarian, too, you know”). But this book reminded me that some things are just wrong. Perhaps others disagree with me that animals have personalities, but the highly documented torture of animals is unacceptable, and the human cost Foer describes in his book, of which I was previously unaware, is universally compelling.

But she somehow managed to overcome those fears and tell you exactly why you should think the way she does. Well done, Natalie!

I have not read the book, so I can’t comment on it in full. But when someone tells you that usually she doesn’t like to be “critical of others’ choices” or come across as if she “knows better than someone else,” you pretty much know that she’s about to be critical of your choices because she knows better than you do.

You know, there are plenty of reasons for being a vegetarian, or a vegan, if you so choose. Some, like Natalie, think eating animals is “mean.” Some people are vegetarian for religious reasons. Others do it because they think it’s a healthy choice and still others because they have difficulty in digesting meat and other animal products. That’s all fine and dandy. I have no problem accepting these personal choices because that’s what they are: personal choices.

I do, however, take issue when others feel the need to lecture the rest of us, intoning, as Natalie does, “We are not them. But, [Jonathan Safran Foer] urges, how will we define who we are?”

How does Natalie define herself? Well, she did sign the Free Roman Polanski petition and, in her HuffPo article, described Safran Foer’s philosophy by saying, “He posits that consideration, as promoted by Michael Pollan in ‘The Omnivore’s Dilemma,’ which has more to do with being polite to your tablemates than sticking to your own ideals, would be absurd if applied to any other belief (e.g., I don’t believe in rape, but if it’s what it takes to please my dinner hosts, then so be it).”

Nice moral equivocation: comparing not wanting to offend meat eaters with not wanting to offend rapists. Almost as charming as PETA comparing eating meat to the Holocaust.

But I’m not a Harvard grad, so perhaps I’m not as familiar with nuance as Natalie is.

Last year, in 10 Questions for Natalie Portman from TIME Magazine, she was asked if she thought Michael Vick should be allowed to play again for the NFL. Her answer:

I think mistreatment and cruelty to animals should be treated with the same seriousness as cruelty to people if not more. Animals are clearly never at fault.

I’m sure the family of 19-year-old Taylor Mitchell, an up-and-coming country music star in Canada, would agree. Mitchell was attacked by two coyotes while hiking solo at a national park in Nova Scotia. Sadly, she died from her injuries. Perhaps the coyotes didn’t like the way Mitchell looked at them. Or maybe they didn’t like her music. After all, animals are never at fault. I wonder: had someone else been there, armed with a gun, and shot the coyotes in order to save Mitchell’s life, would Natalie have decried it as barbaric? When animals attack humans, should we just step aside because nature is taking it’s course? “We are not them,” after all.

Here’s a question, Natalie: If a person and a dog were drowning and you could only save one, who would it be?

And one wonders what her stance on animal research is. Does she agree with PETA, a group that would ban not only eating animals and having them as pets, but all animal testing – even though their own vice president benefits from insulin for her diabetes, which was developed via animal research? Just curious.

Don’t misunderstand: I don’t approve of animal cruelty either, and believe that there should be some level of punishment to offenders – especially as cruelty toward animals is a sign that such barbarism and cruelty can escalate to violence toward people. Serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, for example, started out by killing animals by impaling them on stakes [shudder]. And I also believe that animals raised for food should not suffer needlessly. Mary Elizabeth Williams of Salon concurs:

Portman’s galling assumption is that because most of the modern meat industry is notoriously fast, cheap and out of control, there’s no room for cleaner, more ethical practices. That there’s no distinction between the bird that came from a factory and the one that sustains a family farm. It utterly dismisses the efforts of farmers and consumers alike over the last few years to create a healthier, more locally based culture of eating. There’s certainly no mention of any of that in her article.

During my decade or so as a what I call a Star Trek liberal, I was also a vegetarian. I certainly didn’t grow up that way – as a child, I remember enjoying liverwurst sandwiches and steak tartare. It started out as a “health” thing, but eventually became more. I subscribed to a magazine devoted to vegetarianism, dabbled with all sorts of unusual recipes that took forever to cook, and brought my own main dishes to family dinners and veggie dogs and burgers to cookouts. I’m still teased, nearly a decade later, about the lentil loaf I brought to a holiday meal – Thanksgiving or Christmas; I can’t remember which one.

But being a vegetarian, or a vegan, does not necessarily guarantee good health or a great body. Ever look at Moby? Seriously, despite abstaining from meat (but not eggs or dairy), I struggled for years with the weight that I gained during two pregnancies. So much for health.

And it ain’t cheap to be a vegetarian unless all you eat is rice and beans. I understand Natalie is partial to soy cheese.

Also, looking back, I was very priggish about my vegetarianism and tended to lecture others about the perils of eating meat, how it was bad for you and the planet, blah blah. My older sister would call me on it, but I denied being boorish at the time. But now, I admit she was right. And boy, did I miss liverwurst! Slap some on bread with a thick coating of mayo – mmm, hits the spot.

liverwurst

Here’s what it comes down to: “If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn’t eat meat. If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.” Nothing like “defining who we are” by trying to define who everyone else is, too.

Natalie says it’s not only fine for celebrities to try to influence people on issues like elections, but she might run for office herself one day:

“Maybe I can go into politics once I’m too ugly for Hollywood.”

Just what we need: another holier-than-thou lib running for office. Please, Natalie, stick to acting and leave the decision-making to the individual – as it should be. You don’t want to eat meat? Fine. But leave the rest of us alone.

Los besos de Natalie Portman / The kisses of Natalie Portman
