Natalie Portman confesses his great trauma: attempted self-harm in adolescence

Natalie Portman has honored a U.S. newspaper that his appearance in the cop thriller Heat, where she played a girl who died, marked her deeply. The trauma was such that she first arrived in subsequent self-injury during a fight with her mother.
When Natalie accepted a small role in Michael Mann's film did not know where he was getting into. He was only 14 years and his character's death affected him deeply. "What you feel in your life affects your behavior and what you act inevitably influences how you feel in your life," said the actress told the Los Angeles Times.
"When I Heat was only 14 years and played a girl who died. A year later, I fought with my mother and I cut myself. I had not done before and never did afterward, but I think seeing my wrists bleeding in a movie definitely affected my psyche, "he adds.
Currently, Natalie, with a short but successful career in his 28 years, says he would love to get behind the camera and direct her own films. However, he acknowledges that it has always been afraid that people did not like his job and run it is just as terrifying.

Natalie Portman ha reconocido a un diario estadounidense que su aparición en el thriller policiaco Heat, donde interpretaba a una niña que moría, la marcó profundamente. El trauma fue tal que la actriz llegó a autolesionarse durante una pelea posterior con su madre.

Cuando Natalie aceptó el pequeño papel en la película de Michael Mann no sabía donde se estaba metiendo. Tenía sólo 14 años y la muerte de su personaje le afectó profundamente. "Lo que sientes en tu vida afecta a tu manera de actuar y lo que actúas influye inevitablemente en lo que sientes en tu vida", ha declarado la actriz al diario Los Angeles Times.

"Cuando hice Heat tenía sólo 14 años e interpretaba a una chica que moría. Un año después, me peleé con mi madre y me corté a mi misma. No lo había hecho antes y nunca lo hice después, pero creo que ver mis muñecas sangrando en una película definitivamente afectó a mi psyqué", añade.

Actualmente Natalie, con una corta, pero exitosa carrera a sus 28 años, afirma que le encantaría ponerse detrás de la cámara y dirigir sus propias películas. Sin embargo, reconoce que siempre ha sentido miedo de que a la gente no le gustase su trabajo y que dirigir le resulta igual de terrorífico.

"Me encantaría dirigir. El miedo es intrínseco a todo lo que hace una persona creativa. Estás constantemente exponiéndote a ti mismo a que te pongan verde. Si pienso en ello demasiado, me quedo paralizada. Prefiero crear".
