Natalie Portman and Jim Sheridan

The popular Irish film director. The popular Irish film director Jim Sheridan (My Left Foot, In the name of the father), resumed this year with a new drama. Brothers is a remake of a Danish film of the same title, which staged the 2004 Ulrich Thomsen, Connie Nielsen and Nikolaj Lie Kaas. But the U.S. version, which debuts on December 4 at the global level, involves a trio of no less attractive: Natalie Portman, Jake Gyllenhaal and Tobey Maguire.

The story presents the story of the Cahill brothers, Sam and Tommy. The first is sent to fight in Afghanistan after a violent raid but is presumed dead. The second time, trying to support Grace, the young widow, which together create an inevitable romance. Not be long after that to know that Tommy has survived and is preparing to return home. Very strong as the rules of melodrama send only hope that the ever-observant and sensitive classical taste of Sheridan knows imposed. Just to be noted, before seeing the trailer, in the division are also experienced Mare Winningham and Sam Shepard. (My Left Foot, In the name of the father), resumed this year with a new drama.
