Natalie Portman's movie choices over the last year were a mixed bag. The No Strings Attached poster featured her without pants so naturally it did well at the box office, even if reviews were subpar. Your Highness totally flopped, while Thor banked a cool $448 million at the box office. The projects were enough to land her at No. 75 on Forbes' Top 100 list in 2011. In her personal life, things have been good all around. Rumor has it the actress secretly married her choreographer fiancé, with whom she has an adorable son, Aleph. If Mr. Millepied would just break into the biz we think these two would be top 10 material. Last year's rank: 40

Natalie Portman headed to the farmers market with her fiance Benjamin Millepied and sweet baby, Aleph. The trio were every bit the gorgeous, contented family on a healthy outing. Portman wore a floppy hat and a short, rust-colored dress with summery metallic sandals. Her medium-length brown hair with long bangs was combed to the side. Famous for her acting and action prowess in films such as Black Swan and V for Vendetta, the actress showed a more natural, fresh-faced look during her time off.

The adorable, chunky baby Aleph, now six months old, wore a bright blue onesie and tall socks, according to Daily Mail. Holding him was his dad, who wore discreet black, a baseball cap, and sunglasses. The happy family was clearly trying to stay under the radar, but it's pretty hard to miss Portman's lovely face. When she did take off her shades, Natalie Portman revealed perfectly clear skin and proved she looks as great in a low-key, makeup-free ensemble as she does glammed up on the red carpet.

Portman has always taken care of herself, and her pregnancy was no exception. She has long been known to follow a vegan diet, though the star revealed she switched to a vegetarian diet while pregnant. Quoted on ABC News, she said, "I was listening to my body to have eggs and dairy." The actress went on to advise pregnant women to "watch your iron levels and your B12 levels and supplement those if there are things that might be low in your diet."

Portman has returned to a vegan diet now that she isn't pregnant, and is in talks with Jonathan Safran Foer to turn his novel, Eating Animals, into a documentary.

Since giving birth to baby Aleph, Natalie has been pondering what to do when she returns to the acting industry.

And it was recently claimed that the 30-year-old actress is considering the sci-fi movie Jupiter Ascending as her first post-baby movie return.

Natalie is said to be in talks with writers Andy and Lana Wachowski to star in the film, which is set to start production in the autumn for a 2014 release.

It has also been reported that Natalie is planning to shoot a documentary about veganism, hoping to turn Jonathan Safran Foer's novel Eating Animals into a film.

In a recent interview with a French website, Foer said: 'She contacted me, she told me that she loved the book. I know her now.

'I will help her eventually but it will be her vision. She’s only at the very beginning.'

Clad in a polka-dot-red vintage Haute Couture Christian Dior gown from 1954, Natalie Portman is channeling a classic Grace Kelly on the Oscars red carpet.

Makeup artist Eileen Kastner-Delago (who works with the actress on her film projects as well as her Dior beauty and perfume campaign) was inspired to give Portman a look reminiscent of Kelly and Elizabeth Taylor. http://nataliaportman.blogspot.com/ 

Focusing on the eyes and mouth, Kastner-Delago created a subtle cat eye with Dior waterproof eyeliner. She used a black liner close to the lash line and a purple liner on top to soften the result while still maintaining a strong, sharp look.

Kastner-Delago also used two different mascaras to get the actress’ lashes dramatic but not heavy. First, she swiped a few layers of Dior Show mascara to build volume, then Dior Iconic mascara to separate the lashes. On her bottom lashes, the makeup artist used a couple of coats of purple mascara to define them without creating heaviness.

Portman’s lips were given a light red stain, which Kastner-Delago built with a few shades of red lipstick, also by Dior.  “It’s a mix of reds, very 1950s, but not too strong,” says the makeup artist, who massaged the color into Portman's lips, blotted, then reapplied to really build layers of color that would look more natural and also last throughout the entire evening.
