Last weekend, Natalie Portman and her fiancé, Benjamin Millepied, were just two of the millions of people in Hurricane Irene's path on the East Coast. But rather than escape NYC altogether (many areas in Manhattan's lower region were evacuated), the Oscar-winning actress and her family decided to seek refuge at the swanky Four Seasons Hotel! "Natalie, Benjamin and baby Aleph checked into the Four Seasons on 57th Street on Aug. 26 and stayed the entire weekend," an eyewitness tells Life & Style.
After getting engaged in December, Natalie, 30, and Benjamin, 34, welcomed Aleph earlier this summer. Naturally, the new mom wanted to make sure her baby was safe during the storm.
Natalie, who is a native New Yorker, and her family even ate with the hotel guests. "They all ate breakfast at the buffet on Saturday morning," the eyewitness tells Life & Style. "They had a nice little meal together and were in good spirits."
