Natalie Portman defends For Poor Moms

Mom-to-be Natalie Portman is on a mission to help moms everywhere.

Mom-to-be Natalie Portman is on a mission to help impoverished moms around the world. She and fellow actress Zoe Saldana are launching a “new video public service announcement campaign for FINCA International’s global effort supporting women who are working to create a better future for their families.”

It’s widely known that if you can teach a mother how to support herself, the ripple effect on children and families in poor countries only grows.

Portman and Saldana are calling for support for Lend A Hand, an online community managed by FINCA. Donations through Lend A Hand help FINCA provide small loans to women.
