Natalie Portman will be on the cover of this Sunday's New York Times Magazine in a blonde wig, shot by Sølve Sundsbø for a story on actors who defined cinema in 2010. The magazine has also released a short video from the shoot, during which Portman removes her wig along with most of her clothes.
The cover is well-timed: Today Dior announced that Portman, who was named the new face of their fragrances back in June, will star in the forthcoming Miss Dior Cherie campaign, which is slated to hit TV and print this coming March. Tim Walker will shoot the print ads, and Sofia Coppola will direct the video commercials, just as they did for the former Miss Dior Cherie ads that starred Maryna Linchuk back in 2008. Portman will also have a hunky co-star, who is yet unnamed but apparently young enough to make her feel "like a big old cougar," she said.
